I haven't made any of the recipes; they all look yummy! But why not add one extra ingredient, and have an interactive table of contents? Took off one star for that. So if you are willing to click through a lot of pages before you start cooking, this little book has a lot of variety. Main dishes include beef, pork, chicken and veggie chilis, chili soup, chili casseroles, chili dips, chili sauces and even a chili spaghetti. Different garnishes are suggsted and there are recipes for a variety of breads and crackers also. A really novel idea is several recipes for chili gifting. I think you'll like this book so much you'll make your own TOC!

If you are looking for some variety in chili recipes this book offers quite a few alternatives. You will especially love this book if you like chicken chili but there are also recipes for beef and pork. This cookbook also contains recipes for Taco Soup and Cornbread. Many of the ingredients are canned foods like canned chicken, canned beans, canned chiles, canned tomatoes and canned chicken broth. So really you can keep ingredients on hand for a long time. Other ingredients include fresh vegetables, spices and herbs. There are even some recipe that call for salsa and taco seasoning. This recipe collection will warm up your kitchen in winter.

I bought this cookbook hoping to find a couple of good chili recipes. The first recipe I tried was such a success that now everyone calls and asks me to make it for them. I've had to triple the recipe each time I make it. I finally tried a second recipe last weekend for a vegetarian relative. She called me and said she doesn't know whether to thank me or curse me because she can't stop eating it! Great recipes, great price, great company!!! Thank you Gooseberry Patch!!!
