Featured Tip:  Mirrors and mantels take on an eerie look when draped with Spanish moss. Add a little murky mist by filling small black cauldrons with dry ice and lining them up on the mantel with flickering votives.

Fall…the days start off brisk and sunny, then end with beautiful pumpkin-colored moons. It's a season filled with hayrides, bonfires, back-to-school excitement and celebrating with family & friends.

In Flavors of Fall we've gathered a bounty of tasty recipes and tips for harvest fun. When September comes, you'll need delicious lunchbox goodies so try Turkey Bagel Sandwiches and Double Chocolate Brownies. It's also apple harvest time, so add Stuffed Apples with Sweet Potatoes and Baked Apple Dumplings to tonight's dinner. The first snap of a football means lots of munchies, so why not try Varsity Meatballs or Game-Time Party Wings?

Blueberry Streusel Muffins or Old-Fashioned Buttermilk Pancakes will help chase away the early-morning October chill. A thermos of Spicy Vegetable Soup will warm you head-to-toe on a moonlit hayride and little trick-or-treaters will giggle when you tell them they're having Frankenstein's Pockets for dinner. Thanksgiving is filled with old-fashioned favorites and we're including the best of the best…Cider-Baked Turkey Breast, Grandma's Dressing and Traditional Pumpkin Pie. Autumn is a time of family & friends...spend it making memories to last a lifetime. Hardcover, 224 pages. (9-1/4" x 6-1/2")

My Comfort Food Favorite!

I received this cookbook many years ago as a birthday gift. It has become my favorite go-to cookbook when I am looking for a great comfort food recipe, be it an appetizer, dessert or any dish in between!

Fall baking at it's best!

Yum, Yum and Yum! Love this book! My favorite recipe so far is Autumn Bread on p. 156. It's a breeze to mix up! In place of cranberries, I substitute raisins or mini chocolate chips. I also use mini loaf pans and decrease the baking time. These make great on the go breakfast treats!

Fall Favorite

Well, I titled this Fall Favorite, but actually it is a favorite all year long. I have many Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, but this is the one I find myself using most often. I received it as a birthday gift from my best friend, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. The Yummy Banana Bread speaks for itself. It's the only banana bread recipe I use now. I have fixed the Spooky Soup and the Monster Stew in the last two weeks trying to come up with a supper for Halloween night. Both are delicious! I just fixed the Pumpkin Cobbler last weekend for a chucrh dinner. This is just a few of the recipes I have used out of the cookbook. I also enjoy just relaxing and reading all the cute ideas and tradition makers on the bottoms of each page. Keep up the Good Work Gooseberry Patch! You have a lifelong customer! Not just cookbooks, but catalog items as well! Customer service is great!
