I simply adore all my Gooseberry Patch books. I read and re-read them season after season and when I get a new one I just can't wait to find a moment to myself to soak it up with a cup of tea by my side. I have resisted e-books for a long time, but when I discovered I could get Gooseberry Patch books with Amazon's free Kindle for PC software, I gave in! This book was a freebie today that I am loving already. I'm new to candy-making and I love that, as usual, GP has some great classic recipes for me to try which require just a few ingredients like fudge and buckeyes. I can't wait to try my hand at English toffee and caramel marshmallow delights. Thanks to GP for this little cookbooklet treat!

My daughter and I decided to make candy this Christmas instead of cookies so we picked 3 recipes out of this book to try. We had so much fun making the Peppermint Bark, Buckeyes and Chocolate-Covered Peanut Clusters. They were so easy to make and everyone loved their candy gifts! We've decided this will be our new holiday tradition - thanks Gooseberry!

If you love candy like my family does, you will really enjoy this little book! I was so impressed with the nice variety of recipes. My family really enjoyed the Peanut Butter Fudge and the Chocolate Truffles!!
