5 T. butter, divided 1 lb. carrots, peeled and thinly sliced 3 T. fresh basil, chopped and divided 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed 1/2 t. salt
Melt 4 tablespoons butter in a skillet over low heat. Add carrots
and one tablespoon basil; cover and simmer until carrots are almost tender. Stir in brown sugar and salt; add remaining butter and basil to taste. Cook, stirring frequently, until carrots are tender and ingredients have all blended together. Serves 4.
