2 T. butter 2 T. brown sugar, packed 1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 T. lemon juice 2 t. soy sauce 1/2 t. pepper 4 salmon fillets
Combine all ingredients except salmon fillets in a small saucepan. Cook and stir over medium until sugar is dissolved; cool. Place fillets in a lightly greased 13"x9" baking pan; pour cooled marinade over top. Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove salmon from baking pan. Spray grill with non-stick vegetable spray and grill over hot coals for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, basting occasionally with marinade. Discard any remaining marinade. Serves 4.
