1 c. sugar 1 c. butter 1 egg yolk 1 t. vanilla 1 c. ground pecans 2 c. flour
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolk, 1/2 cup ground pecans, flour and vanilla. Press into greased 13"x9" pan. Spread with unbeaten egg white on top and remaining pecans. Bake in slow (300 degree) oven for 45 minutes or until light brown. Cut at once.
