1 lb. ground pork sausage 1/4 c. maple syrup 1/4 c. margarine, melted 7 slices country potato bread, torn 8-oz. pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese 5 eggs 1 pt. half-and-half 1 t. salt
Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat; drain. Reduce heat and stir in syrup; remove from heat. Spread margarine in a 13"x9" baking pan; arrange bread over margarine. Spoon sausage mixture over bread; sprinkle with cheese. Blend together eggs, half-and-half and salt; pour over cheese. Cover and chill for 8 hours to overnight. Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
