2 c. boiling water
8 tea bags
3 T. lemon juice
1 c. sugar, divided
1-1/2 t. vanilla extract
1-1/2 t. almond extract
ice cubes
2 ltrs. lemon-lime soda, chilled
Garnish: lemon slices

Combine boiling water and tea bags in a pitcher. Let stand for 5 minutes to steep; discard tea bags. Add lemon juice and 1/2 cup sugar, gradually adding more sugar to taste.
