8-oz. pkg. wide egg noodles, uncooked 1 lb. ground beef 15-oz. can tomato sauce 1 t. dried parsley 1/2 t. salt 1/2 t. pepper 3/4 c. sour cream 1 c. cottage cheese 1 t. onion powder 1/2 t. garlic powder 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Cook noodles according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, brown beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, parsley, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low; simmer until heated through. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, cottage cheese, onion powder and garlic powder; fold in noodles. Spread half of noodle mixture in a greased 2-quart casserole dish; top with half of beef mixture and half of cheese. Repeat layers. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until bubbly and cheese melts. Makes 8 servings.
