1 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped 15-1/2 oz. can mild chili beans in sauce 3/4 c. barbecue sauce 1/2 t. salt 8-1/2 oz. pkg. cornbread mix 11-oz. can sweet corn & diced peppers, drained
In a frying pan over medium heat, cook beef, onion and pepper; stir until no longer pink. Drain. Stir in chili beans, barbecue sauce and salt; bring to a boil. Spoon into a lightly greased 13"x9" baking pan and set aside. Prepare cornbread mix according to package directions; stir in corn and spoon over meat mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for
30 minutes, or until golden. Makes 6 servings
