1 T. shortening, softened 1/3 c. sugar 1/3 c. molasses 1 egg, beaten 1 c. all-purpose flour 1 c. graham flour 1 t. baking soda 1/2 t. salt 1 c. buttermilk
In a large bowl, blend together shortening, sugar, molasses and egg; set aside. In a separate bowl, combine flours, baking soda and salt. Add flour mixture to shortening mixture, alternating with buttermilk; mix well. Pour batter into a well-greased 9"x5" loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Makes one loaf.
