This book is a must-have for those who like to give kitchen gifts for any occasion. (I suggest buying Gifts from the Kitchen as well.) In Merry Mixes, I've tried Christmas Cappuccino Mix, Friendship Tea, Mulled Cider Mix, Snappy BBQ Seasoning Mix, and Fantabulous Flapjack Mix. I have probably given away dozens of the mulled cider mixes, packaging them as suggested in the little brown bags with the tops sewn shut with red thread. People are so impressed with this packaging! It does look very cute. I've also followed the packaging suggestion for the flapjack mix, putting it in a bag made from dishtowels, and tying on a pancake turner and little bottle of maple syrup. This is a wonderful gift for men and boys! This little book is filled with innovative packing ideas like these. It's a terrific resource for kitchen gift-givers. |
