This is the 1st cookbook that I have bought where I would pretty much make everything shown. I have been trying to find a recipe that looked/tasted just like my mom's chicken noodle soup & I found it in this cookbook (Down-Home Chicken & Noodles). I could tell when I made it that it had the same look & when I took my first bite I actually cried because it tasted just like my mom's (I failed to get her recipe before she passed away). Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Seriously amazing cookbook!

Got this cookbook on a vacation. Gals, I'm not kidding, this book is AWESOME. Made supper from it last night and am making it again tonight. Lots of main course recipes. I don't understand the negative review I read because it's really packed full of decent, useable, not-weird recipes. Some cookbooks I've bought or looked at have tons of recipes that include strange ingredients or weird things no one but Martha Stewart or someone "fancy" would eat, but not this is normal food with normal ingredients. I am just so happy I bought this. My entire family-hubby and kids-loved the chicken/stuffing casserole recipe we had for supper last night. I will seriously look at the other cookbooks these gals sell and maybe order (or try to look at in a store) because if it's as good as this 101 Slow-Cooker Recipes then it will waaayyy be worth purchasing it. Kudos to the Gooseberry Patch gals for making a DECENT, USEFUL, WORTHWHILE cookbook.

Okay, but

not what I expected. I hadn't expected desserts to be included. I supposed I'd been hoping for more American comfort foods like casseroles in it. There were a lot of desserts and dip recipes I hadn't wanted. It's a great variety, but I guess I wanted more. It would have been nice if the sections were separated by type of meal, rather than intended purpose. It might have made my expectations a little different.

Best Slow Cooker cookbook!

I have looked at and bought several slow cooker cookbooks. This is by far the best one I've ever seen. So many great recipes to try and every one has a picture. I'm even thinking of buying another crock pot just to do desserts in. Gooseberry out did themselves with this one. I have to say all the 101 cookbooks are awesome.
