Wonderful Recipes!

This book is wonderful because it has a ton of great recipes that can be made in a snap. With kids in sports and school functions, this is one of my "go-to" cookbooks!

Rush Hour Recipes

I am excited to bring to you another review from Gooseberry Patch! I was asked to review their new cookbook called "Rush-Hour Recipes". As a very busy mom of 6, this was very appealing to me! I'm always looking for quick and easy recipes for my family. Yet another great cookbook to add to my collection. The categories are: 5-Ingredient Favorites One-Dish Dinners Slow Cookers to the Rescue Soup's On! Make-A-Meal Sides Speedy Potluck & Party Foods. I am a soup junky in the winter so I chose to do the Chicken & Broccoli Soup recipe from the Soup's On! Section. I have to say that this soup was not a quick recipe. It was definitely easy, just not quick. The rice had to be cooked first and it takes a good 25 min. to cook. The rest of it went together pretty quick though. I did have to add another small can of chicken broth to make it more "soupy". But I'm sure that's because I didn't measure out my broccoli or chicken. There was probably more than what it called for. On the other side, this soup tasted great. Not a single complaint from anyone in my house. (That's rare!) I haven't figured up the calories yet, but I can't imagine it's not diet friendly! As with all Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, this one is chock full of really neat ideas on each page. I love that! It adds such a personal touch. So in all, if you're looking for another cookbook, I highly suggest Gooseberry Patch!

Tonight we were needed to make something simple

We needed something we could make fast. It took about 10 minutes or less to mix up the biscuits and 15 minutes to bake. They turned out so flaky and very very tasty. The secret to this biscuit is the buttermilk! It is a must try! You will want to use this recipe every time you need biscuits for your table or for a family in need like we did! It has more than 230 Quick-to-fix dinner recipes your family will love..... even slow-cooker meals and potluck dishes! Read the rest of my review at:
