1/2 c. water
1-1/2 c. sugar
12-oz. pkg. fresh cranberries
2 pears, peeled, cored and chopped
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. allspice
4-inch cinnamon stick
Combine water and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat; boil for 5 minutes. Add cranberries and pears. Cook and stir until cranberries pop. Stir in spices; add cinnamon stick. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight before serving. Serves 10.
