2 c. whole milk
1 c. long cooking oats, uncooked
1 c. apple, peeled, cored and diced
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 T. butter, melted
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. salt
Optional 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Garnish: light cream or additional milk
Spray a slow cooker with non-stick vegetable spray. Add all ingredients except garnish; stir to mix well. Cover and cook on low setting overnight, about 8 hours. Spoon oatmeal into bowls; top with cream or milk. Makes 6 servings.
