1 c. butter, softened 1 c. sugar 1 egg 1 c. molasses 2 T. vinegar 1-1/2 t. baking soda 1 t. cinnamon 1 t. cloves 2 t. ginger 5 c. all-purpose flour
Beat sugar and butter together until fluffy; add egg, molasses, vinegar and beat. Next add baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and flour; beat well until all is well-blended. Refrigerate dough 3 hours or until easy to handle. Roll dough 1/8-inch thick and cut with cookie cutters. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 5 to 8 minutes, or until done. Cool and decorate as desired. | |
