Italian Sloppy Joes

1 lb. ground beef chuck
1 lb. Italian ground mild or hot pork sausage
12-oz. can pizza sauce
8-oz. pkg. shredded mozzarella cheese
6 to 8 Italian buns, split and hollowed out


In a large skillet over medium heat, brown beef and sausage together, crumbling well; drain. Stir in pizza sauce; simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes. Stir in cheese and cover until cheese melts. Stir well; spoon into hollowed-out buns. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
