2 lbs. beef sirloin, cut into bite-size strips garlic powder to taste 3 T. oil 1 cube beef bouillon 1/4 c. boiling water 1 T. cornstarch 1/2 c. onion, chopped 2 green peppers, thinly sliced 14-oz. can stewed tomatoes 3 T. reduced-sodium soy sauce 1 t. sugar 1 t. salt 4 c. cooked brown rice
Sprinkle beef with garlic powder. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown beef in oil. Transfer to a slow cooker. Mix together bouillon cube and water until dissolved; stir in cornstarch until dissolved. Pour over beef. Stir in remaining ingredients except rice. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours, or on high setting for 3 to 4 hours. Serve over rice. Makes 8 servings.
