Aunt Libby's Pumpkin-Rum Pie

9" unbaked pie crust

Filling
3 eggs
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 t. salt
1 1/2 c. heavy cream
1 c. canned pumpkin
1/4 c. rum
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. ground cloves
1/4 t. mace

Topping
1 c. whipped cream
1 T. rum


Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all filling ingredients together and pour into pie shell. Bake for 35 minutes. Test the filling by sticking a silver knife in the center...if it comes out clean, the pie is ready. When entirely cooled, pipe sweetened whipped cream, flavored with rum, all over the top.
