3/4 c. dried lentils, uncooked
1/2 c. long-cooking rice, uncooked
3 c. chicken broth
2 T. dried, minced onion
1/2 t. dried basil
1/4 t. dried oregano
1/4 t. dried thyme
1/4 t. garlic powder
3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Blend all ingredients except cheese in a 2-quart casserole dish. Bake, uncovered, at 300 degrees for one hour and 15 minutes. Uncover and top with cheese; bake for 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Serves 4 to 6.
