4 T. butter, divided 2 to 3 sweet onions, sliced 10-3/4 oz. can cream of chicken soup 1/2 c. milk 1 t. soy sauce 8-oz. pkg. shredded Swiss cheese 1/2 loaf French bread, sliced
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add
onions and sauté for 3 to 5 minutes, until crisp-tender. Transfer onions
to a lightly greased 12"x8" baking pan. In a bowl, whisk together
chicken soup, milk and soy sauce; spoon over onions. Sprinkle evenly
with cheese. Spread bread slices with remaining butter; arrange over
cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, until bubbly
and bread is golden. Serves 8. | |
