Best Strawberry-Lemonade Punch

2 46-oz. cans unsweetened pineapple juice
8 c. cold water
6 c. sugar, or to taste
3 envs. unsweetened strawberry drink mix
3 envs. unsweetened lemonade drink mix
8-oz. can crushed pineapple
2 ltrs. ginger ale, chilled


In a large plastic freezer container, combine pineapple juice, water, sugar and drink mixes. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Cover and freeze. To serve, remove from freezer one to 2 hours before serving time. When thawed, pour into a punch bowl. Add pineapple and ginger ale; stir gently and serve immediately. Makes about 7-1/2 quarts.
