No-Fuss Corn on the Cob

8 to 12 ears sweet corn, husked and silk removed
salt, pepper and butter to taste


Wrap each ear of corn in a square of aluminum foil. Lay corn in layers in a 6-quart crockpot. Cover and cook on high setting for 2 hours, or on low setting for 4 hours. Corn will steam inside the foil. Unwrap carefully; season corn generously with salt, pepper and a few pats of butter. Makes 8 to 12 servings.
