Triple Layer Chocolate Bars

1-1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/2 c. baking cocoa, divided
1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter, melted
14-oz. can sweetened
condensed milk
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 t. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
1 t. vanilla extract
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
12-oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips


In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup cocoa, sugar and melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of an ungreased 13"x9" baking pan; set aside. In a large bowl, combine condensed milk, flour, baking powder, remaining cocoa, egg and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended; fold in walnuts. Spread evenly over crumb crust; sprinkle evenly with chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, until set. Cool completely; cut into bars. Store at room temperature, tightly covered. Makes 2 to 3 dozen.
