2 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 t. salt 1 T. baking powder 1/2 t. nutmeg 1/2 c. plus 1/2 t. butter, divided 1-1/2 c. sugar, divided 1 egg, beaten 3/4 c. milk 3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 c. chopped pecans 2 t. cinnamon
Combine flour, salt, baking powder, nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon butter, 1/2 cup sugar, egg and milk. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove immediately from pan. Melt the remaining butter; roll muffins in butter. Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon; roll muffins in mixture. Makes one dozen. | |
