1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
8-oz. can tomato sauce
2 c. water
1-1/2 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. prepared horseradish
1 t. hot pepper sauce
1 T. dried, minced onion
1 T. chili powder
1 t. dried oregano
1 t. cayenne pepper
1/8 t. nutmeg
1/8 t. salt
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. May also be prepared in a slow cooker; cover and cook on low setting for several hours. Serve immediately over hot dogs or hamburgers, or keep refrigerated until ready to reheat and serve. Makes about 5 cups.
