1-1/2 lbs. lean ground beef 2 c. water 1 t. salt 1/2 t. pepper 2 c. milk 3/8 c. all-purpose flour mashed potatoes or hot biscuits
Break up beef and cook in a large skillet over medium heat until browned; drain. Add water, salt and pepper; bring to a boil. In a large shaker cup or jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine milk and flour; shake until smooth. Stir milk mixture into beef mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth. Remove from heat. To serve, ladle over mashed potatoes or hot biscuits. Makes 6 servings. | |
