6-oz. pkg. ground sausage
1/2 t. dried oregano
1/4 t. red pepper flakes
4 slices French bread, cubed
1/2 red pepper, chopped
1 t. dried parsley
4 eggs
1 c. evaporated milk
1 t. Dijon mustard
1/4 t. pepper
1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Brown sausage with oregano and red pepper flakes in a skillet; drain and set aside. Line the bottom of a greased 8"x8" baking pan with bread; top with sausage mixture. red pepper and parsley. Set aside. Combine eggs, milk, mustard and pepper; whisk until well blended. Pour evenly over sausage mixture; cover tightly with aluminum foil and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes. Remove aluminum foil; sprinkle with cheese. Bake for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serves 4 to 6.
