3.4-oz. pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix 2 c. milk 18-1/2 oz. pkg. chocolate cake mix Optional: 1 t. vanilla or almond extract 12-oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips Optional: powdered sugar
Combine dry pudding mix and milk; stir just until pudding starts to thicken. Stir in dry cake mix and extract, if using. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread batter evenly into a lightly greased 13"x9" baking pan; place on center oven rack. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 to
40 minutes, until top springs back when lightly touched. Let cool at least one hour before cutting into squares. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired. Makes about 1-1/2 dozen.
