12-oz. pkg. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
12-oz. pkg. shredded Gruyère cheese
3 T. all-purpose flour
1/8 t. nutmeg
1 c. white wine or chicken broth
cut-up vegetables, bread cubes
Place cheeses in a slow cooker. Sprinkle with flour and nutmeg; toss to coat. Sprinkle wine or broth over cheese mixture. Cover and cook on high setting for 45 minutes to one hour, until cheeses melt. Stir. Turn slow cooker to low setting for serving. Serve with vegetables and bread cubes for dipping. Makes about 15 servings.
