The Pork Chop Recipe

Oh the Gooseberry Patch are always great, and down to earth. For lunch today we tried the Pork Chops Piquant. Oh was that so good. The only change I made was after the sauce was cooked, I added part it to the last 7 minutes to the pork chops that were still baking, to give them more flavor while baking. Then I added the rest of the sauce when the pork chops were done. Again this recipe is a keeper. And there are many more recipes in this book that I will be trying.

Supper Easy

Yes, I meant super easy and typed Supper Easy, because it's both. I thoroughly enjoy this cookbook and the recipes. They use every day ingredients that are easily found in most pantries or grocery stores if you don't have it at home. The instructions are simple and these are recipes that even younger kids can help you make. Enjoy! I know we do!

I'm a slow cookin' gal

I've always used my crockpot but now I use it even more. With the economy and the need to stretch the dollar even more, cooking with your slow cooker makes sense. You use less energy with a crockpot than traditional methods, keeps the house cool in summer, so you use less electricity and frankly the end of the day is busiest for me so to do the prep in the morning and have dinner ready at five is such a blessing. This is my go to cookbook for using the crockpot. YUM!

Most used cookbook I own

My husband bought me this cookbook for Christmas because I was wanting some new slow cooker recipes. It is my first Gooseberry Patch cookbook but will definitely not be my last. Since Christmas I have tried at least one or two recipes a week from all three sections and so far we have not found any we haven't liked. My husband says it's the best purchase he ever made for me and I agree. I love how the ingredients are very down to earth items that usually I have in my pantry. It has become my most favorite cookbook and now I'm eager to try others.

A cookbook I actually use!

This is my first Gooseberry Patch cookbook, but I know it won't be my last. I have tried many of the recipes and have enjoyed all of them. I keep trying new ones but one that I keep coming back to is "Caesar's Pork Chops and Potatoes". Who would think that such a simple recipe could be so delicious. Just good comfort food.
