Many of the recipes in this cookbook have become my family's favorites so it is a keeper. The only thing I don't like about the cookbook is the index. You have to know the exact name of the recipe to find what page it is on instead of knowing what it is or the main ingredient. For example, "Oh-So-Easy Lasgna" is listed under Mains under "O" instead of "L" for lasgna. I can remember lasgna but not "Oh".

Recipe with a Twist

This was actually a gift for my mother from my grandmother one year for christmas, but I have taken it over. As a nurse I am required to work long hours, which leaves the husband fending for our 2 children. And eventhough I know they would enjoy chicken nuggets and fries with daddy I try to make them something a little more wholesome. I havent used many of the recipes yet, but one of our favorites is Mom's Chicken Italiano, but with a twist. Instead of just diced tomatoes try using Rotel it gives it a little extra kick and pour it over some Jasmine rice. You will thank me for it later. Great book though I use it weekly!!

Great Cookbook

My husband bought this book for me at a Mast General Store and I love it. I have a list of a couple of dozen of our favorites to refer back to. I love Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, wish I knew about them years ago.

Finally!

Finally, a slow cooker cookbook that has recipes that my family will eat! No strange ingredients that, even if I could find them, I would only use once. I have used several of the recipes and they have all been great. My family favorite so far is the Chicken and Noodles. Right now, I have Easiest Pot Roast going. I have always loved using a slow cooker and this cookbook makes it even better. Thank you so much.

Christmas gifts

My oldest daughter requested a large crock pot that has a clamp on lid for Christmas. It made me think that maybe the rest of the girls in our clan might enjoy one. I had seen these cook books online and decided to get each of them one to go with their crockpots! They are easy to read, delightful to look at and made my mouth water reading the recipes! Christmas shopping made easy!

Great Cookbook!

I love using my crock pot but never really found any recipes that my family would like. Not so with the cookbook. Every single recipe I've made, they have liked. Sometimes you have to adjust cooking times. I found that it didn't always take as long to cook as the recipe may have stated. My Mom even borrowed this book from me and really liked the recipes as well. I recommend this cook book if you are looking for a lot of different recipes and variety.

Binding

Love the contents, however, the binding on the book simply comes off everytime I use the book - even just to brouse the receipes! Hopefully the other books that I want to order for the holidays will have a better binding system! With many thanks and hope this helps.

Great!

This book is great, I have tried several recipes and so far all have been a hit. I make them in the morning before we golf and when we get home, dinner is ready!! You must try the French Onion Beef and the Italian Chicken, they are favorites with my husband, and my sewing group all want the recipes!!

Cookbook Library Must-Have

There are simply certain days of the week when I need to break out the slow-cooker, due to hectic family schedules. This book delivers time and again. The recipes use basic ingredients and are not difficult to follow. As with all slow-cooker recipes, I've found it's best to have too much liquid, than not enough. If the recipe does not call for much, you should add more and it comes out perfect every time!

Comfort cooking at it's best

I purchased my Slow-Cooker recipe book during the summer months. Not wanting to heat up my kitchen, I still wanted to create a hearty and comforting meal for my Family. The slow cooker recipes are just as good as slaving over a hot oven, yet unbelievably simple and no hot oven to contend with. My Husband loves to smell the aroma of a slow cooked roast with hearty vegetables and tells me how much it reminds him of his Grandmother's country kitchen, when he was growing up. There are very few left overs, if any. I love this book and will use it all year long.
