My Husband and I got our first digital slow cooker this Christmas. I bought this cook book and tried some of the recipes. My husband and I enjoy a slow cooked home cooked dinner and he takes the leftovers for his work lunch. Happy Wife!

I received this cookbook because I had a recipe published in it. I'm so thankful I have this book, because it's been a fantastic resource! I use my slow cookers often. It's so handy anytime a busy day is planned, or if I just want to have supper ready without any work at the last moment. So to have an entire book of crockpot recipes, themed to different seasons, is handy indeed! The Christmas Egg Brunch is a recipe I have made often. We are big fans of breakfast for dinner, and this works perfectly. Just add some fresh fruit and maybe some muffins to the menu, and you are set! There are many other main dishes I like and many more that I would like to try. Papa's Favorite Cheesy Corn Soup has been a big favorite that I've made at least a dozen times. Many possible variations with this one! Basic Mexican Chicken is another recipe I've used a lot and adapted for other flavors as well! Side dishes I've tried and like include Roasted Potatoes and Spicy Sweet Potatoes. Recently I've tried some desserts: Gingerbread Pudding Cake and Slow-Cooker Apple Pie. Scrumptious! I highly recommend this cookbook. Whether you use your slow cooker a lot, or if you're just getting started with this type of cookery, you will be glad to have this resource on your cookbook shelf!

When I got this book for Christmas from my mother-in-law, I had never heard of Gooseberry Patch. We tried the slow-cooker barbacoa today, and my husband, who usually hates beef, kept commenting on how wonderful it smelled, like our favorite Mexican restaurant that shut down a few years ago. The recipe was easy to follow and offered a new twist on taco night. I look forward to trying out more from this book!

This is a great and practical Slow Cooking cookbook. I just got this cookbook and already have 8 recipes marked to try.

I make a lot of our family's meals in a crock pot because we are very busy. I am particularly fond of the Orange Chicken found on page 137. My husband loves Chinese food, but I do not. This recipe has allowed me to eat something I normally would not choose while satisfying my husband's love of Chinese food. I have grown to like this meal so much that we eat it once or twice a month.
