Web Designer/Manager:
As Web Designer/Manager you'll be responsible for the management and development of our E-commerce website, relationships with
3rd party affiliates, all facets of our email marketing campaigns, our organic SEO positions and web traffic. The Web Designer/Manager will interact
with Sales, Customer Satisfaction, Creative, Merchandising and IT.
Job Description:
* Manage the planning, development and production of Gooseberry Patch's e-commerce website.
* Plan, design, build, test and ensure maximum deliverability of our Email Marketing Campaigns using external email platform and 3rd
party reporting tools.
* Concept, design and execute new designs for home page and other required pages for the website, as needed, including graphic
design, site navigation, and layout of content using appropriate methods to optimize performance both in customer experience and functionality.
* Concept and execute new designs for weekly (or more frequent) e-mail pushes.
* Prepare and manage all product and catalog images, new bursts or buttons as needed for use on website and in email pushes.
* Monitor and improve search engine performance as it relates to organic search engine optimization.
* Maintain search engine sitemaps for Yahoo, Google and MSN.
* Work closely with IT to ensure e-commerce site is working seamlessly with back-end in-house ordering processing systems
* Support, develop and program new features for website as assigned by COO, conceptualized by Web Team or through own
recommendations.
Required Skills:
* Ability to design in a style that is consistent with the Gooseberry Patch look and established brand.
* Experience as a Lotus Notes/Domino Developer/Administrator preferred.
* HTML and Photoshop skills and understanding of web layout required.
* Experience working with a retail cataloger preferred.
* Must be deadline-oriented and able to manage personal schedule and project workflow.
* Excellent attention to detail and creativity in problem solving.
* Positive attitude and good interpersonal communication skills are vital.
* Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues.
* Strong marketing/web project management skills, a plus.
* Ability to work both as part of a team in decision making and independently without close supervision.
Illustrator/Web Graphic Designer:
Looking for a Designer that is fluent in both drawing and illustration as well as design software
and techniques for website graphics production.
Job Description:
* Design in a style that is consistent with the Gooseberry Patch look and established brand identity while proactively providing fresh solutions and ideas to new projects.
* Brainstorm, concept, and execute small to medium-scale projects with minimal direction, as well as incorporating feedback from Art Directors and key departmental and company management.
* Create artwork for 3-D and paper products that is realistic but whimsical without being cartoon-y or overly stylized.
* Concept, design and execute new designs for home page and other required pages for the website, as needed, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content using appropriate methods to optimize performance both in customer experience and functionality.
* Concept and execute new designs for weekly (or more frequent) email pushes.
* Prepare and manage all product and catalog images, new bursts or buttons as needed for use on website and in email pushes.
Required Skills:
* Must have excellent drawing and painting skills with the ability to produce realistic, straightforward drawing and painting style.
* Solid experience in watercolor and pen & ink required.
* Ability to adapt personal rendering style to be consistent with the established Gooseberry Patch look critical.
* Ability to produce a high volume of work in a regulated established time period under tight deadlines necessary.
* Photoshop skills and understanding of web layout required.
* Experience working with a retail cataloger preferred.

Seasonal Staff:
We have lots of seasonal positions available from late June through mid-January! We offer day, evening and weekend hours...we
look for staff in the following areas:
- Catalog Phone Sales & Customer Satisfaction Reps
- Various shifts are available between 8am-midnight weekdays & 9am-9pm weekends.
- Strong computer skills required, sales experience a plus.
- Must have excellent phone etiquette, spelling & grammar.
- Order Pickers, Packers & Shipping Scanners
- Shifts available between 7am-10pm weekdays.
- Occasional Saturdays.
- Lifting required (up to 50 lbs.)

We're looking for a full-time In-House Sales Representative. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter with a strong work ethic.
Requirements:
- Sales experience, preferably in the gift trade
- Excellent telephone and communication skills
- Strong computer skills
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining existing business while securing new business via outbound telephone sales calls
- Increasing sales volume by upselling/cross-selling
- Providing customer service and handling inbound sales calls
- Processing orders
- Prospecting for new business
- Selling cookbooks to single and multi-store retailers, including gift shops, hardware and farm and fleet
